Rebekah Crawford lived in New York City. Mrs. C. Robert Grimm (Betty) was caught in Germany at the outbreak of the War when visiting her husband's family. Mr. Grimm (1849-1916) had moved to the U.S. in 1881, becoming a construction engineer in Philadelphia and New York.
